The PLC – It’s a Great Resource!
This new facility has been made possible because of St Cuthbert’s Business and Enterprise status.
The PLC is used by all Year Groups in school.
If pupils need access to a computer or a printer they are welcome:-
Before School (Open at 8.10am every morning)
Break Time (Every break time except Wednesdays)
Lunchtime (Every lunchtime except Wednesdays)
After School (Until 3.45 PM every evening)
With 43 computers, a colour printer/copier, scanner, two SMART boards, green screen and radio station – the PLC is utilised by teachers right across the curriculum.
Classes and groups are welcome to reserve slots throughout the six teaching periods during the day.
Not only is the centre equipped with the latest computing software, it also houses video conferencing, filming, photo and sound devices.
So, if you are new to school you may find yourself using the PLC to catch up on homework, or your teacher may ask you to create a radio or TV advert as part of your lesson!
Whatever the reason if you visit the PLC - you will find a helpful, friendly and caring environment.
