Every Wednesday Primary Schools visit the PLC and are transformed into mini ‘Marketing Departments’. The pupils engage in a range of activities designed to promote their schools in three key areas. The Partnership Learning Centre is fully equipped so that each pupil can make a full colour brochure, take part in a radio advert, and even produce a TV advert using the latest editing software, green screen and recording devices. All of the sessions are brought to life with real examples of how businesses would utilise the skills of their own creative departments to make effective promotional materials. These lively sessions give the pupils a taste of how businesses need to work carefully when deciding on the best techniques, imagery, and creative writing for an effective and successful marketing campaign - and how important it is to work to, and never miss a deadline! Each Year Five group visits the PLC three times in a year to complete the campaign. The sessions are challenging and fun, and an electronic copy of the completed work is then taken back to school to share with everyone.
